About
Not your average personal trainer.
I am a 62 year old level 3 qualified personal trainer, living in Cheshire in the UK. The thing I love most about my job is introducing beginner exercisers to the world of fitness and watching them grow strong and confident.
I have always had an interest in health but like so many, found regular exercise difficult – the treadmill is so boring! This all changed when I hired the help of a personal trainer myself. My sessions in the gym began to fly by and was amazed by the changes in my own body. I needed to learn more so took a complete change of direction with my career and became a trainer myself.
I pride myself on my friendly, empathic approach. You won’t hear me shouting “No pain, no gain”. My goal is to help people become life-long independent exercisers. Yes, you’ll get a workout, but more importantly you will learn the fundamentals of safe exercise and how to care for your body into the future.
A Big Advantage
One of the biggest advantages of working with an older and more experienced personal trainer is that I understand the effects of ageing better, especially if you have medical conditions or injuries like arthritis, an old nagging sports injury, or a rotator cuff tear.
I also understand how difficult it can be to take time to look after yourself when also having to juggle other commitments such as a family and a career.
I’ve been there!

- I have a special connection to the Languedoc Roussillon area of France and like to visit as often as I can.
- In my younger days I have been a puppeteer, children’s party entertainer and an infant teacher.
These last 6 months have been life-changing
It’s nearly a year since I turned 40 and decided to try to get healthy. I started with very small steps with Penny, but especially these last 6 months have been life-changing – I’ve lost 2.5 stone but more importantly I’m in the best physical shape I’ve ever been, and I actually really enjoy working out – I can’t thank Penny enough.
